The seasons cycle in endless round,
Summer and [[winter]]! Heat and frost!
The leaves grow green, then change and fall,
The warm breeze shifts to bitter cold. Some flakes float and others fall,
They [[sparkle!]] They shine! Pearls from the sky.
The [[wind]] in mighty current blows,
The flakes dip and [[twirl]], they soar and swirl. That bed of white, fluffy and new,
Like scattered diamonds on the ground.
Underneath it, cold and damp,
The earth, [[asleep]], waits for spring.Dancing in the air, the sprites
Of crystal ice come tinkling down,
Drifting softly here to there,
in frosted chorus without measure.Lazy [[snowflakes]] shuffle down,
Creatures hurry to their homes,
Bright and joyful drifts pile up,
Giving kids snow days from school. The following morn the air is still,
The ground a painting all in white.
Winter moves on, its hidden home
A mystery. It snows! It snows!
The blizzard howls long and low,
Showing winter’s awesome power,
Yet soon the breeze will settle down,
And gently rises a golden glow.
